Yarn and Ink

This is a book cover I did for my Portfolio class this quarter. I had done cut paper for my children's book last quarter, but decided to take it digital this time. Less mess, and fewer bits of paper all over my floor. I just scanned in all my textures and papers, played with color and added some stitch marks for a quilt effect. I really love this piece right now, but I'm kind of done with digital collage for the moment. I want to get back into my inks and paints and get dirty.

I'm still a novice with type, but I'm trying. I'd love to take a graphic design course, but then again, I've always got Dave :)
